Alessandro Palombit was born in Spilimbergo (PN) Italy, on February, 4, 1990. He attained his high school diploma in Electrical and Automation science on July 2009. He achieved his Bachelor degree in Information Engineering (Biomedical branch) in December 2012 from University of Trieste, Italy with a thesis on the analysis and processing of kinematic data during handwriting under the supervision of Prof. Agostino Accardo.
He achieve his Master Science Degree in Bioengineering in July 2015 from University of Padova, Italy with a thesis on the comparison of “Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping” methods in clinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), carried out under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Bertoldo and Marco Castellaro.
His main scientific interest regards the biological data analysis, modelling and processing, particularly using MRI and applying numerical methods to solve biological inverse problems.
His main MRI techniques of interest focus on biological tissues structures and their neuro-pathological alteration: Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) and Susceptibility Tensor Imaging (STI).
He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE-EMBS) since 2010 and of the European Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB) since 2014.
